Albert Simms was married to Sarah Burch. They had one daughter Eugenia. On arriving in Lincoln they rented home on 24th street for $20/month and Sarah's niece also lived with them. He retired from Burlington Train No. 6 on Thursday , July 1, 1949, after serving 40 years as chair car porter. . In 1939 he earned $1,080 for 52 weeks in the year. The finally owned a house on
