Biographical Text

Grover C. Walker was born in Mississippi to parents who were also Mississippi natives. He had one brother, William Witt. Grover was a Pullman Porter and he and his wife Sarah rented a home at 2024 L Street in the 20's. and then purchased a house at 1929 U Street that was valued at $4000 in the 30's census. At this time they had one lodger William Witt.

They moved to Omaha in the 40's and Cleveland took on a job as a janitor.
